Foundation Exam Pattern
NTSE Pattern Structure
- Mode of Examination: Offline (Pen and Paper using OMR)
- Stage 1 (State Level) & Stage 2 (National Level): Papers consist of MAT and SAT.
- MAT (Mental Ability Test): Evaluates problem-solving and reasoning dimensions (100 Questions, 100 Marks, 120 Minutes).
- SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test): Covers Science (40 q), Social Science (40 q) and Mathematics (20 q). Total 100 Questions, 100 Marks, 120 Minutes.
- Marking Scheme: +1 for each correct answer. No negative marking at Stage 1 and Stage 2 (mostly).
